melt your heart

In today's vernacular, "melt your heart" means something positive. Biblically and ORIGINALLY, this phrase is synonymous with the judgment of God on the wicked. I'm not sure how it got corrupted to mean someone has compassion for another. Most people in this world are very unoriginal and many things are stolen from the Bible, and most people don't ever bother to open up God's Book and read it to figure this out.
